Verify the download

After downloading, confirm the SHA256 matches this page before installing. A matching hash means the file matches the published asset — it does not replace code signing and is not a claim of “absolute safety”.

  • Windows (PowerShell / CMD): certutil -hashfile <file> SHA256
  • macOS / Linux: shasum -a 256 <file>

Report false positives

  • Windows install does not require administrator rights; UAC appears only when enabling the host agent.
  • iPhone has no native app — use the browser web client.
  • Download only from this site or the official releases repo. Builds are not code-signed yet.

Before you install: unsigned builds

Code signing is not finished. Windows and macOS may show trust warnings. That is expected — follow the steps below after downloading from official links only.

Windows: SmartScreen / antivirus

  1. If SmartScreen appears

Click “More info”, then “Run anyway”. The publisher may show as unknown because the installer is not signed yet.

  2. If antivirus quarantines the file

Restore it from the quarantine list, then add the download folder and the install directory to the allowlist / exclusions.

  3. Only trust official downloads

Use this website or the official GitHub releases repository. Do not run copies from chat apps or unknown mirrors.

macOS: “cannot verify the developer”

  1. Right-click to open

In Finder, Control-click (right-click) the app → Open → confirm Open. A normal double-click may be blocked by Gatekeeper.

  2. Or allow in System Settings

Open System Settings → Privacy & Security. Scroll to the blocked-app message and choose Open Anyway, then confirm.

  3. Drag to Applications

After the first successful open, keep the app in /Applications for normal use.
